By poplar request-Westover School as it looks today. The trade school that currently is housed there is soon to be moved to a new building. I'm told it will be demolished starting in January 2006.. There is also a desire to demolish Central Elementary since it is going to ruin after being vacated 4-5 years ago. Union City is big on tearing down the past!

Aycock's Motel at corner of Home and Jackson. It used to be at the edge of town. Now a vacant lot as a group intending to build apartments on the land backed out.
This is the Confederate Monument that has been in the city park facing Church St. all our lives. At this time it was being dedicated in 1909 and was located on the grounds of the old courthouse shown in the background.

The Catholic church was at the NW corner of 5th and Church Streets.
The Davy Crockett Hotel in the 1940's. The low part of the building was the popular Coffee Shoppe. Next door was the Alomo Service Station and the large building to the right was the Salant Shirt Factory.
This shows cheatham St west of First before Goodyear and the industrial park filled up the farm land.
